I know you ganna be like WHAT iburst has a speed test on their site?

No They don't but I think they should... I think no-one knows (not even WBS) whether ppl actually are getting good speeds on certain towers or not.

If they had a test they would have the data and be well informed of problems before anyone phones, and can fix the problem, knowing for definate that that tower(s) has a problem and relaying this to technical staff. (who i think must be bull****ing em)

They can use the user login and pass (of the connection) for authenticity.

Any thoughts?

AFAIK WBS already have the info about what speed you've managed to achieve or not as the case may be - they just don't care either way...I know that when I spoke to Luis prior to 2005-04-01 he told me what their system said my downloads were not running at on Bryanston-BS...

Oh yes now I remember. Kinda part of their bandwidth logging system. Well anyways there should be some sort of clause in the legal aspect of things forcing the ISP to provide contention ratios and actual average speeds achieved (possibly by area).

Hey I am just ranting on, on a pointless thought I guess we all have the I wish the world was perfect moments

So what if they have or not have a speed test link on their website? As IC said they know the speed issue but they dont care about it....
Speed tests on the web sites are more like for us users to see what speed we have...but it wont make WBS to fix their bad speeds...

I concur. The best you can do at the moment is download the modem drivers. I get around 100KBs from the drivers (no caching involved), and around 40 KBs from other international downloads. I think the signal is fine.

International is at a lower speed - this happens with every broadband or dialup ....
