iBurst Speeds Douglasdale.

Hi all,

Anyone in the Douglasdale area using iburst willing to post their speed tests, and what modem / or external antenna they are using

Just want to see if it's a viable alternative to the SHODDY adsl service in the area.

I live in Douglasdale area, there is an Iburst tower just by the New Life Church on the bridge crossing over the N1. Point your thing there.

It's not great, but it certainly is a leg up on 384k and 512k lines

Normal 1mbit/s usb one.

I tested a Vodacom 3g USB last night, 200-300 local pings 300-450 international, over 2Mbps downloads, was rather impressed...

Now they just need a cheap 10gb package like 8ta
