Geez, this company is something else.

Had some account dispute a while ago, and gave the person my wbs e-mail address (as they were sending my e-mail to a mweb account cancelled two years ago).

Now I get spam from the person (Tabisa Loliwe) who sent me official iBurst documents (she thinks I am her personal buddy now and send me all of this inspirational crap).

On top of that, I have NEVER used my iburst e-mail for anything, but now that iBurst is using it for official communications, I have won the UK lottery about 18 times, and I can supply half of Africa with Viagra!

Wake up iBurst!!

I've cancelled my account with them two months ago - and still get monthly bills. :p

iBurst = Sentech

Sorry, but their days are numbered.

This companies top management has a death wish and the sooner it dies the better, hopefully they will sell the iburst system rights before it dies with them.

Sorta reminds me of a certain president who seems blinded by a certain incompetent health minister.

Got adsl installed today, goodbye iburst :)

But will iBurst say "Goodbye SeanH" ???.

Last thing I remember
I was running for the door.
I had to find the passage back
to the place I was before.
"Relax," said the nightman,
"We are programmed to receive.
You can checkout any time you like,
But you can never leave!"

I cancelled iBurst just over 2 years ago, and prior to cancelling, I had to regularly pester & beg iBurst's accounts department for invoices - some of which I never received - all via email BTW - never by post, anyways I went to collect my post on Tuesday, only to find yet another iBurst envelope - the only difference is that this time it was an invoice for R0.00 and some other spam leaflet - usually I only get an envelope with the spam...should I be all excited and wait for the next one - probably a bill of thousands of Rands for the last 2 years that I haven't been an iBurst customer...

Seeing all this drama with having to deal with iburst directly I've gotta say im glad I went through Mweb. Since it costs the same, i'd have to recommend if you thinking of getting iburst, go through a third party supplier and you'll only have to deal with them.

so does mweb fight your battles when iburst incorrectly bills you?

Not quite - with mweb, if something goes wrong and you call them, they'll tell you the problem is on iBurst's side. They're experts at dodging complaints which they learnt since the early ADSL days.

I dread those steam updates, I hope iburst die soon so my parents can get us some ADSL :)

Eish, anyone remember how painful those updates were on Dial-Up. I can't vouch for the slow speeds on iburst though. For some reason, Steam doesn't work with USB modems.

Moved from iBurst to ADSL about 4 months ago, went for the 4MB line and a 5GB cap. I share my connection so its about R70/pm more but it's well worth it.

I now play WoW (US) 500-800ms and download at 400+Kb/s.

I joined iBurst in their beta days and the network was great(empty) then, when 1/2 the ppl move on to ADSL which I believe is only a matter of time the network will become better again.

They took money from my acc after my subscription had been cancelled and had loads of trouble getting it back but I eventually got it back after repeatedly speaking the manager of the billing dept.
