im capped and the 64k is in place, no problems with speed, although, sometimes a website is unresponsive, but it's random.
it was to be expected that people will "rush" to finish their cap by the end of the month, that is why alot of people (me included) suggested to Shaun they have a "bandwidth rollover" system, and after 6 months, reset it to 0 or something. This would have effectively killed the reason people would rush to download whatever they can because they paid for the bandwidth and does not want it to go to waste.
IMO, thats why there is a slow down. But conspiracy, yes, iburst might be throttling them anyway. I can't wait for my ADSL to be installed!!!!!!!
craigsa, don't get all hippety hoppety over this, ADSL users have experienced the same phenomena and if iburst did do their market analysis correctly, I am sure they would have tried to avoid the dissatisfaction factor that a bandwidth cap like this is imposed will cause.
effectively they will keep on losing customers, and they'll dig their own hole. it's true that for every customer they lose, 10 other idiots sign up, but it costs them more to GET those 10 idiots signed up if people stop spreading the "good word by mouth" advertising that is so powerful.
Sentech has proven this. I'm done trying to fight.
