iBurst towers illegally erected

Is the Craigavon tower one of them? It does not say so in the article...

Thats nice. Did you know that besides these 30 base stations about 80% of our country is illegal. I'm just saying.

did not inform the community before erecting a tower near a cemetery in the suburb, a claim that iBurst has denied.

I have never received notice from:

Vodacom for erecting towers in the early 2000s at my varsity.
MTN for erecting towers.
Neotel for erecting towers.
Every single WUG member.

Please fine them and take away all their licenses too.

FTFA:
iBurst was found guilty last November of erecting 30 towers around Gauteng without following the proper environmental procedures. It entered a plea and agreed to pay R90 000 in total as a fine. ... Lekola says after the charges were registered, WBS entered into a plea and sentence agreement with the state and pled guilty to all 30 charges. After the criminal conviction, WBS applied for authorisation to continue to operate the towers under a section 24G application, which is still being considered by the department, he says.
Living proof of the phrase "it's easier to ask forgiveness than to ask permission" ..oh, and pay a fine. And a R90k fine for 30 towers is a piddling R3000 per tower - at this level that's chump change.

In all a cynical and well-executed plan to get coverage out there without, it would seem, bothersome red tape.
