iBurst using Linksys WAG354G Router

Has anyone managed to setup iBurst using PPPoE through a wireless ADSL router? I had no problem doing this using ADSL, but iBurst refuses to work.

Another problem I have, while playing DoTA, iBurst suddenly drops and i'm unable to reconnect to iBurst again, even after rebooting etc, reintall of windows is required. The network port seems to become locked or something? Anyone experienced anything like this before?

I hear little bells ringing dully in the back of my mind somewhere - have you searched the iBurst forum for your disconnection issue?

Can't help with the adsl modem issue - sorry.

Yup....using a Netgear WGT614 and had no issues at all. Followed the instructions it came with and the little wizard on the installation CD and it worked like a charm first time. Wat issues are you getting?

With ADSL I used PPPoE, put in Username and password and all is fine.
With iBurst, the "Connect" and "Disconnect" buttons are grayed out.
So it seems that the router is looking to do PPPoE only when line is plugged into the ADSL port.

If I look at the specs for the WAG354G it would seem to be a combined ADSL modem and router. The settings you are entering are probably going to the ADSL modem and are never getting to the UTD. You need a router like the WRT54G...

Ja i dont think you can use a router with a built in ADSL modem, just trade it in for a normal one. its cheaper, get some cash back, if you bought it new.

Otherwise there might be a way, but i have no idea.

I also am pretty amazed you actually re installed windows just to get Iburst to work, Im shure you could have done it a easier way. It actualy sounds liek a virus to me, but no idea about the DOTA.

Yeah that ADSL router won't work with the UTD

ADSL modem/routers combos do not have an external WAN port since it is used for the internal ADSL connection.
