Hello everyone,

Whenever I enter the Iburst website through my company's laptop, Internet explorer crashes. As far as I know, the notebook has flash and shockwave player installed, so no problem there. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Do you mean the whole site or just to accommodate this problem?

They brought out the "new" site not so long ago.. I would be surprised if they were updating the whole thing again.
Why? I mean they got so much money now...

Yes, had the same crashing problem on a friend's computer yesterday. No problems with ff - just IE.

EDIT: iBurst site is busy being updated...
Hmmmm - i noticed that....

They have been updating their coverage map system - very pretty 'n all... but yesterday it was just blank maps and no coverage data and today it just plain doesn't work

Luckily I have the old map system bookmarked - but which punk decided to change the link to the new broken map system???

Please post the Coverage Map bookmark...

Hi Ambo, can you send me the CM bookmark please?

One would think any professional webmaster would first test the site before making any changes live, strange?

Hi EHV, No I don't think iBurst's webmaster would accommodate anyone, the older version of IE crashed only when I visited the badly written Flash homepage of iBurst, however I've updated IE and no more issues, Maxthon and Firefox loaded the homepage successfully.

iBurst coverage map...

Thanks, the new CM has a search facility (drop down box) that has been plonked right in the centre of the page when searching, what was she/he thinking.

Does the new searching function actually work for anyone yet? Because I get a error as soon as it should actually be showing the map, once youve gone through the whole selection process..

The new map is screwed up which is only to be expected.

I selected my area and street address in plumstead and it brings up a map that does not even cover my area, then it has the cheek to say "OK Indoor" whereas mine should show "Good Indoor" as my connection flies as fast as iBurst capable of.

EDIT: ok 3rd try giving the same street info it got the correct address, BUT it still says "OK Indoor" which as I said is incorrect.

Mine too, has iBurst folded that they can't give a servise anymore?

It works if you click on the map...

It works if you click on the map and enter your details there, however if you select your street address it just delivers an empty map with no coverage.

Which company does iBurst use for designing their website, so I can stay clear of them?

As for their PR company (or whoever wrote this press release), well - how do you like being insulted for starters - “According to Wikipedia, a blog is a website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order. The term "blog" is a contraction of "web log." Ed’s blog can be found under the ‘support’ tab on the iBurst website.”

What does she think we are idiots, best she stays at home an look after her kids.

Sorry, I'm being harsh - but hell do they have to hire monkeys in all the areas of their business?

I've also got this problem with my IE on my work laptop

seems as soon as you hover over the menu bar you get a System Caused a serious error message

Okay the maps are working now, at least for my area, bu there is no longer the option to show planed coverage. Or I cant find it, maybe it will be added later but the actual design looks complete so I doubt it.

The bits of map that you can see at a time are also alot smaller, I find it alot harder to look around my area now.. And the orange just doesnt look as nice as the old green, but I guess its their new company colours so they have to do it :(

But I see why the drop down box is right in the middle of the page, its because the arrow just above it will be pointing exactly on your house, so the map has been centred on your location. I'm not sure how it works if you dont put in a street adress, but the arrow was exactly above my house.
