this morning I had a nice iBurst signal and connection, I have 2 iBurst modems connected to a dual router with 4 computers on the router. I am at the office in Milnerton and as far as I know the closest iburst tower at PPC down the road but I am getting the worsts speeds in history. I swear dail up analog would be a better option at this rate.

I can connect faster if I connect my iPhone to the pc and tether. (actually I did to my laptop and OMG the difference but I am not about the spend my data bundles on company work.)

I use TeamViewer for remote sessions and Skype for calls.

I have requested a status check on the base stations in your area.

Thanks for the heads up.

It's the porn spyware that's updating itself that is chowing on the bandwidth :p :D

Not everyone has the same problems as you. ;)

Bex, it sure looks cr@p, will assist Mr. Green to chase it up.

(was there a Mr. Green in Resevoir Dogs, BTW?)

lol I cannot remember I will have to watch the movie AGAIN tonight :p

Anyone know anything about Rustenburg's Tower being slow or is it just my account.

I think my account is cut but I should have at least 2 gigs left of cap. I cannot check on the website since I see the results as 0 usage 0 upload and 0 cap left.

Here is my speedtest result. Its dreadfull

lol my iBurst at work is currently faster than my Vodacom 3G at home, even at 2AM the connection just disconnects after 3mb of forum browsing...can't do anything!

man the internet sucks in South Africa...my sister is also having problems, think she's on ADSL - wtf is going on this past 5 days?

While I am not exactly happy with the kind of treatment I have been getting from iBurst, we had a thunderstorm in my area today.

Keep in mind that if the weather is foul, the nature of wireless systems dictates that you might struggle with the connection.

Quite, thunder and rain plays havoc with RF systems.

I know there were some towers down earlier in the Pta area due to this, but they came back up after the storm passed.

You can actually watch a storm move across an area by watching which towers go red (and green again) on the management tools.

Yea the thunder and lightning in Cape Town sure wreaks havoc this time of year.

Mr. Green did not exist in Reservoir Dogs unfortunately. Colours were Brown,Blue,Blonde,Pink,Orange and White

That's what I thought, but I was too lazy to Google it. ;)

We can add an 'honorary' Mr. Green; the guy that actually gets stuff done and don't end up dead. ;)
