iBurst WiMAX - Slow Speeds

Hi iBurst,

Since last week Friday, the speeds has been terrible on WiMAX.
What can be done.
Phoning the call centre does not help.
When you want ask about WiMAX they give the same number you just dialed.

What is being done about this?
What is the SLA's on WiMAX?
I guess as a business client one should get priority?

What is the number to talk to someone that can assist with WiMAX?

also an iBurst WIMAX customer & my speeds have dropped to a point where it's not working at all anymore :-(
Did you ever get the correct number to contact ?

No reply from iBurst.

Eventually called there help desk and got referred from number to number and ending up with the same person each time.
Restarted the CPE a couple of times.
 
I eventually got the right team to talk to 087 720 1234 (Omrie or Penja).

They could not help me immediately, but did contact Vodacom networks (they look after the WIMAX network for iBurst) and the guys even came out to have a look at my CPE & the problem.

They fixed "something" on their side (base station or somewhere else) and my iBurst WIMAX is cruising again :-)
 
If you don't mind me asking, what package do you guys have and how much are you paying for it? Please pm me if you don't want to post that info here. :)
 
Hi LazymanJoe, I also spoke to Omrie a couple of times. WiMAX is back to normal now.
I think our problem was only for a couple of weeks.


Hi SharkBait, the WiMAX solution is at one of our client's premises. We do not handle the link. We also do not pay for the link or know the figures.
What makes it more complex is that they have a VOIP solution from another company but in effect using iBurst.
So it's VOIP + WiMAX internet that they are paying another company for. I don't even have a ball park figure. Sorry mate.
 
Kwel, was wondering why you guys are using a business solution at home. ;) Assumptions is the mother of all .... :D

Can you contact me regarding this. This customer's WiMAX does not even work anymore...
The WiMAX does not connect, thus no internet...
I have sent a couple of emails from the 25th of October but to no avail...
