I got my iburst last year and i was on the 2gig package at that time. So at December or so i moved over to the 5gig package where i paid R544 a month. So when the new packages came out i moved over to the 25+ package where i have to pay R445, but i still pay R544 for the package. 2 of my friends where on the 5gig and moved over to 25+. But me and my friend pay's R544 and the other friend pays R445. On there site it state's that i have to pay R445 a month and i am not. So i called the help-desk and they said i have to pay the modem R100 because its hardware fee. But on there web site they state "These prices apply to new and migrated contracts only. Before i migrate to the new package, i asked them , will i pay R445 a month or not, and they said R445. Website state: R445 for Max25 include modem.

I want to know if there it people out there that has the same problem. O and there support sucks big time, where i hang up when you talk to them, and the second time i called they put me on hold for 30 and never come back to me. I don't think i will support Iburst next year when my contract ends
 
It sounds to me like when you signed up you did so with a modem bundle - and the modem is still being paid off, as per the original agreement. Makes sense to me.

I've been with iBurst since beta days, and yes, I've had issues, but the guys here on myBB have made it a little easier. If you choose to move on, good luck. (I tried to go Cell C, and quickly cam running back...)
 
if you sign a 2 year contract you pay R445 a month and get a free modem.
The contract you had must have given you a more expensive modem (or just that hardware was more expensive back when you signed up) or something and so you have to still pay it off as per the original agreement. That's all I can think happened.
 
Correct.

You can remain on your old contract terms or migrate but in either situation the contract terms still apply for paying off the modem.

The new package deals allow you to have a free modem over a 24 month contract period. The difference between the old and the new contracts is that the contract on the old method was only for the hardware but the new contracts are for the package.
