Icasa Cost to Communicate programme details released

At the end of the day ICASA should have inputs from the DOC and also major industry players before it just decides to go ahead which is what I hope they are in the process of doing right now. If sprectrum allocation is the only thing preventing the cost of communication to be lowered, then what about the LLU? They should receive equal amount of attention from ICASA as a regulator of the ICT sector in SA.

Honestly, for me as a broadband user, I feel very optimistic that we will finally be getting some of the things that we have been asking for. It is great to see ICASA taking a lead in this, but bad in a way because the idea comes from the DOC which means ANC government ideas.

In my opinion it's not the actual prices that are the issue it's the value proposition.
We don't need lower priced services, we need more for our money.

talk is cheap... I'll believe it when I see it.

I beg to differ........talk is expensive especially in SA

Lol... It depends on the medium. My point was government talk (not cellular) is cheap; actually doing something is a different matter entirely.

Sadly all that the Zuma government had shown it is good at is talking and corruption.
