Crackdown on broadcasting monopoly in South Africa

State-owned electronic communications and network services provider Sentech has been found to have a monopoly on the distribution of TV, AM and FM radio broadcasting frequencies.

This is according to the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa's (Icasa) findings on the signal distribution market inquiry report, which covers the period between 2010 and 2020.
