ICASA has really proven itself to be a useless entity that seems to just consume public funds without doing anything useful. About a year ago ICASA was full of threats to mobile providers about the high rate of dropped calls and ICASA promised us action against these companies should they fail to rectify these problems within an allocated time frame. Well here we sit almost a year or more later and nothing much has changed. Call's are still dropped at a high rate and constant degraded call quality still requires users to make more than one call to finish their conversations. So I ask, why do we have ICASA? Is it simply another government entity designed to consume taxpayers money or does ICASA really have more bite than it's bark?
