ICASA mobile network quality report here soon

i.e

We forgot, but were reminded by MyBB and now we hope to produce something soon

What a load of crap, so the networks are unhappy? Why because the truth is out?

IIRC the last report actually put the networks (Vodacom at least) well within the QoS required for most metrics measured. Maybe do some reading? ;)

The issue is that there needs to be a consistant methodology when testing otherwise how do you compare results? This is Engineering 101, really.

Another example, if you use a SIM from Network A to call Network B and you get bad call quality, is the problem with Network A or B?

Jannie we all know you guys don't like negative reports, I don't need to be an engineer or read any report.
I live with the headache every day ;) not just on vodacom so its not personal.
The networks in general here are terrible.

Please quantify that.

Maybe use the same numbers ICASA would probably use. But you can limit it to:

1. Call setup rate: What is the national average for the various networks according to your own measurements?
2. Call drop rate: Ditto
3. Call quality: Ditto
4. Average download speeds: Ditto.

Would love to see your extensive research on the topic and also the testing equipment and methodology you used.

Then also your comparative results from networks in Europe and the USA to substantiate your claim that networks "here" are terrible. You clearly base this on objective research, right?

While you're at it, maybe you can comment on ICASA's pervious report and what you found wrong with it?

O, wait. You actually never did any of the above, did you?
