I recently decided that I need to get back to studies, otherwise I’ll be working in retail for the rest of my life and that’s not a great prospect, might just stab a customer with a knife someday soon. Just kidding
About five years ago I started to study for a Bcom accounting through unisa, but got put off by all the non-accounting subjects, for example law. Searching on the internet I came across the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers. From what I can see the subjects involved are all bookkeeping related. ICB recently decided that you can’t just go about it on your own, you’ll have to do the course through one of their training providers, but their prices are pretty steep! So I need to know, if allowed the opportunity, would I be able the cope on my own (got an A for accounting in matric), or is it better to go through a part time training provider?
