icdl test/modules

Hi guys

has any1 here written those icdl exams before are they hard? i have to do them as part of my degree??

whats hard? i am a graphic designer will i be able to pass them? i ue word, excel etc all day everyday

They used to teach it at my highschool, and they were 15yhear olds who were passing. I never took, but I can't imagine it being very hard

Its easy. Its basic computing skills. The only difficult module might be access as most people have never used it before. The theory (paper 1 I think) has questions like what does WWW stand for?

This is quite useful internationally. After doing 4 modules, you can apply for the Start certificate and once all 7 modules are completed, you can get the Core certificate. If you want to get the qualification without the bore of sitting through the classes, I know of a place that offers a condenced version where you can do each module and exam in a day.

There are 7 modules:

1. It Basics
2. Windows (File Management)
3. MS Word
4. MS Excel
5. MS Access
6. MS PowerPoint
7. Internet & Email

Also, there are 4 additional modules you can do for the Advanced certificate.
