I created an iCloud e-mail account and all was working fine until a few days ago. Then my receiving of mail stopped to work with a message "Cannot get mail - the connection to the server failed"

I can still send mails, and also delete items in my mailbox.

Tried to get online support, but SA not listed as a country being supported , and the fact that I spend decent money to buy an Apple product does not count for anything.

How do I sort my incoming mail issue?

Log into the icloud website and see if you can receive mail there

Have you not exceeded your 5Gb storage size limit?

No, have nothing stored in the cloud yet. Will try login from website quickly.

Are you using an @icloud.com address directly? Or are you fetching mail from another mailbox into that one?

Because it sounds to me like the latter, which means the problem isn't with iCloud itself.

iCloud doesn't require any configuration on Apple devices, not for the @icloud.com email itself.

I am fetching mail from iCloud address directly.

Logged in on icloud.com site via notebook - mail is in Inbox, but not on my iPad.

For some unknown reason, the iCloud email address is now receiving mail. So still not sure what the issue really was.

My joy has been short lived. When I log into our office's wifi network, the inbox synchronizes perfectly, but when I connect via 3G only,I still get the error message and Inbox does not refresh.
