Hi All

I'm currently in the process of signing up with an ISP for fibre.
My brother currently uses iConnect fibre, and doesnt get through even half of his allocated Cap.

Anyone know How many concurrent sessions can be connected at once on iConnect Fibre products.
I know with ADSL, most Capped accounts cater for multiple concurrent sessions. Is it the same story with Fibre?

Thanks!!!

Generally not unless maybe using the same fibre operator. Why go with a capped service anyway.

You get unshaped bandwidth, Iconnect is really the best option they were ranked 3rd in overall speed on their fibre offerings. @mark051 why not give them a call? I'm sure they can answer your questions.

We don't do any shaping on our uncapped offerings?

typo boet ranked 4th also at average speeds... But you also have to consider the fact that both upload speeds and download speeds are both the same. here's mybb article http://mybroadband.co.za/news/broadband/149759-highest-average-adsl-and-fibre-speeds-in-south-africa.html

Yeah unfortunately the speedtest ranking isnt a great indicator of performance, as you have fttb competing with ftth. It's why the likes of the business operators are on top. They run 3 or 4 speedtests at 1Gbps every month and keep the top spot. FTTH your average line is between 5Mbps and 50Mbps and thousands of people performing the tests. Gives a lower average.
