Nasrec to get ICT hub

An information and communication technology hub is to be developed at Nasrec in Gauteng, the provincial government said on Monday.

It takes more than a few investors and rooms to create a Smart City. This idea has been around for ages, but a true 'smart city' needs massive bandwidth, qualified graduates, tech-friendly financing, space for new start-ups - a whole ecosystem of elements. Much as I support the concept, I would see this as more likely in Midrand (near the Seacom POP) or Cape Town.
