Hi, my dad received the folowing letter from ICTStracing:
"
Dear Member
Following the recent telephone call with our tracing agent, this email confirms that we act on behalf of Sanlam - The Unclaimed Benefits Pension Preservation Fund.
Please find attached documents.
You will need to complete and attach the following:
  • Application Form - completed, signed and dated
  • CLEAR Certified ID copy or Passport or smart ID card must be both sides.
  • Proof of banking details (Bank Statement, Cancelled Cheque or Letter from the Bank) reflecting the bank name, logo, account holders details and account number (not older than 1 month)Valid Income Tax Number (please provide copy of you tax numberon the SARS letterhead)
....."

email/website/scam adviser seems like a legit business.
very low score on hello peter however they do respond to all the complaints.

My dad confirm he had a policy with Sanlam

EDIT:
from 4x4 forum.

"
Had the exact same thing happen to me about 3 weeks ago.
I was also very skeptical about giving out my personal info.
Tracing company informed me that the unclaimed benefit was with Alex Forbes so I phoned them directly and confirmed that there is an unclaimed benefit and I'm dealing with them directly now. "

Just contact Sanlam direct and take it from there.

Unclaimed benefits are usually resolved by having Tracing agency track down the client for distribution, but always confirm with the company directly
