As far as I know it's not possible to do such a thing. Telkom don't give these details out- it's more of a hit n hope.

My advice would be to point your poynting antenna at each of the 3 different towers and see which one gives the best and most consistent performance based on both stats and speedtests.

+1 The closest and best stats is not always the fastest. Also nice to have multiple towers close because if one goes down you still online or if one gets congested there are 2 more to pick from.

Does line of sight matter, ie, no trees and buildings?!

I had the Telkom guys install my Poynting device (a-XPOL-006-10M) on Friday. The weird part is, the signal is about 20% better, but i get half the speed that I got with the bunny ears....

Probably getting 1800 instead of 2300. Try setting 2300 manually with toolbox.

I have finally figured out that the multiple towers that are now available in my area that were not available 9 months ago, are exactly the reason for the issue I am having at present. My 315 keeps jumping between 2 towers and in particular more than often connects to the one that has the lower of the 2 signals and hence speed. Has anyone yet figured out how to make the 315 "lock" onto a preferred cell ID?

Can anyone successfully use opencellID or other website it doesn't list the Telkom towers? Maybe I am looking on the wrong one?
