Can anyone identify this connector? It's from a Ford Ranger so not sure if it could be some proprietary connection.

I need the male version but my google skills are failing me...

With 12 pins? The most you get is 4. Anyway I think he wants to know the name of the plug standard, not what it is for.

It looks like the white piece is broken off inside the connector?

I've had some luck going through the list of connectors on RS Components, but this takes time as there are hundreds of different types of ones - eg. https://za.rs-online.com/web/c/conn...ctors/general-purpose-rectangular-connectors/

Your other option is to trace where the wire ends up, looking up that part on eBay or similar and trying to find out that way what the connector make and model number is.

Awesome! That is definitely it.

The connector is in the centre console and connects switches to relays in the bin to control auxilary light circuits.

What did you do to the connectors that it needs replacing?

It comes from the factory with the interface and blank switch panel but not the harness and switches.
