Hi guys,

Just need some help doing the following for my parents place :

Would like to get the inverter to use the battery and solar (when the sun comes up) from 4am till 12pm. I'd like the battery fully charged by 2pm at the latest though and happy to use Solar + Grid from then onwards.

Can anyone assist on how to set this up? Can't find the manual and don't want to bother the installer.

Had this exact same issue on Monday after my Sunsynk system was installed. Great stuff available on youtube though which had me setting up my inverter better than the installer LOL.

Damn, I read the headline as Idiots Guide To A Starlink

Firstly, click 'use timer'

If you want your system to not use battery from 2pm onwards, change the timing settings from 2pm onwards to 100% once you get the values. From 4am you can set the charge to 30% or so, but it will most likely use mostly solar once the sun starts coming up as your battery will be 100% already, although depending on the weather it could start pulling from the battery too.

Is there a reason you don't want to consume battery during the night at all? A lot of the savings of the system can come that way.

No idea if the battery comms even works properly.

App uses SoC for some reason :/

if you are able to change setting from the app (otherwise you going to have to bother the installer)
click on equipment
the inverter should come up and the 3 dots on the top right click on that and choose settings

go battery settings and
you should have the lithium option there if its not ticked - tick it - that should change to SOC
if not then again time to call installer

What do they have BTW in terms of panels and Batteries (, wattage)?

What battery is installed?

Take a pic of the battery from the bottom for us? Particularly that bit on the right with the RJ45 jacks.

Those should be:
1x CAN BUS, 2x RS485, 1x RS232 ports
The CAN BUS is preferred. You just need a data cable between that and the CAN bus input on your inverter. Will see if I can find pinouts if a straight through cable won't suit it.

This is a worry:

Potential for scammers to hit it.
