Okay, here is the scenario!
Vista laptop wants to print something (via IE) on a shared HP LaserJet 1005 series printer, it crashes - if they try print say to a CUTEPDF or whatever, it's fine.
The PC that has the printer attached (via parallel) is a XP PC and the printer is shared out with correct XP drivers installed.
HP officially doesn't support VISTA with drivers for the printer in question.
Crash only happens when you print via IE.
I upgraded IE to IE 8.
Put on Universal HP drivers.
Possible work arounds?
I've suggested installing Firefox, but I'm curious as to some of your ideas.
