IE & Firefox not working..

Hey all,

I think I might hav gotten a virus or worm or trojan or something, cos my connection is fine, other pcs connected to the Netgear Router can surf and, Outlook works, but neither IE or Firefox will connect to any sites, cannot display pages it says.

I've tried scanning with Malware, AVG, Ad-aware.

Anybody!?! Please!..

Yes, you do have a virus, it is called Norton . A colleague had the same problem (on Vista) a few weeks ago. Removed Norton and everything worked again.

Download the Norton Removal Tool to completely remove Norton, reboot and try again.

If it doesn't work, it would be useful to know which version of Windows you are running and which service pack. Have you done a windows update recently?
