The amount of sponsored ads google shoves down my throught when I do a search aren't doing it any favors.

I use google quite alot and the sponsored ads have never bothered me.

They are non intrusive and easy to ignore if I wanted to. They even end up being useful if I was searching for something I would like to buy.

The only way I see someone taking over Google's throne is if Google itself shuts down for what ever reason.

googles ads are actually sometimes quite useful.

most users equate google as their gateway to the internet.

if i ask any of our users to go to a particular website they google it and then click on it rather than typing it in the browse.

facebook can suck it...

They mess with the relevance weighting. Stupid people (end users) click on them religiously when they're still learning about "the Google".

People aren't really stupid if they're 'learning' something. They are actually clever as they concede that they do not know all the answers!
