Hi,

Just got my new samsung tab and im loving it :)

However, I have found the gyro to be uncalibrated.

I downloaded 'clinometer' from the app store to test, and the only way for it to report the tablet being straight, is to tilt it slightly.

Could someone else with a tab maybe get the same app and let me know if they have the same problem. If not, then ill go get mine replaced at mtn.

Thanks in advance for the help!

shows 5 / 6 on when on the floor.

Same one I used. I wonder of it is a manufacturer problem. Maybe I should contact them and find out. Other wise I would like them to swop it out for me.

Well, currently, according to this topic, 3 people have tabs which are off centre, and 1 person has one that is on centre. So looks like more faulty than not...

Also, after much googling, I found out how to install the JM6 firmware, which added the option for "horizontal calibration" in the settings menu. Looks like that does the job, although I'm still concerned that it requires 6 degrees of adjustment, and additionally, Samsung haven't made this firmware officially available.

Does anyone know when the 2.3 (Gingerbread) version will be available for the Tab in SA? I believe it is out in Italy.
