If you own a mechanical keyboard...

Been using a Logitech G613 Wireless for about a year now. Romer-G switches, soft feel & very quiet with good tactile feedback.

Eewwwww!!!!!!! UK Layout!

Coolermaster quickfire tk (brown switches).
I quite like it because it is small. Wierd Numpad arrangement though. It's about 5 or 6 years old and still going strong.
It's my second favourite keyboard (Dell XPS 13 is my favourite).

Corsair K70 Lux, over 2 1/2 years old and still performs flawlessly with Cherry Browns, absolutely love it.

1 Gripe, a few of the keys have broken , which corsair replaced after 8 months of support tickets, they mailed me 3 keys and in that period another 2 had broken. I think its mainly due to sideways movement and the little plastic connectors just snap. So now i have gaming keys for for a few letters, too lazy to buy new ones. this will be my last corsair product i'll ever get due to their shocking customer service.

Originally I got a memchanical one (membrane with a so called mechanical feel), it's close but it's just not real.
Than Takealot had a special for the Marvo KG909 rainbow mechanical keyboard for R199, so I got two, originally I was going to use both at home and take the Redragon Dyaus to use in the office.
But my son liked the Dyaus and I ended up liking the KG909 and took that to the office instead, yes it's the cheapest mechanical you can buy and it uses Otemu blue switches so it's loud, but the typing on it is nice.
I like it for gaming it at home as you don't have to press as hard, the only thing that's annoying is the rainbow lighting, would've liked full RGB like the Dyaus.

Very interesting. I've noticed on the Reddit forums that Filco's are highly regarded. Ducky's are also well thought of.

Filco, Ducky, Leopold, DAS and WASD are probably the most well known and reliable out there. Outside of those you then have things like realforce (topre switches) and ergonomic keyboards like matias and kinesis. I'd quite like an ergonomic keyboard like the ErgoDox though.

I will say it tends to be the case that mechanical keyboards with costar and costar-like stabilizers do a bit better for feel, some of the above do use cherry stabilizers.

Using a Razer Blackwidow at work. The sound from it gives the impression that I am working harder than is actually the case.

I can't stand some people with the loudest mechanical keyboards that come on Discord, i really don't want to know every single letter you type as you slam the keys on your keyboard! Never really understood the reason for the mechanical keys with precision switches and whatnot, if I press a key it presses, not sure what could be made better.

One thing that does annoy me though is since mechanical keyboards took over, the innovative designs of ergonomics have gone out the window and all of them are the same shape. I miss my Z-Board Merc that I had for years!

This explains the reasoning and the ergonomics of some mechanical.

I've used numerous mechanical and membrane keyboards, I know the difference, I just don't see what makes them so great for me personally. I prefer chiclet keyboards as I type faster and more accurately on them, and they don't sound like a hipster getting his rocks off all the time

Had a redragon that drove me insane. It would register a button being pressed once, a random multiple amount of times.
It was very clicky though, novel at first, but each click feels like a shock to your head at 2am.
Changed it to a membrane steelseries and never looked back.

Chiclet are the worst for typing? How do you type faster on those things?

Chicklet? like lenovo x1 laptop keyboards? They're the best.
Sometimes I just type random stuff on mine just for the fun of it. Evident in some of my previous posts.

Is your Marvo KG909 good?

Not bad, was surprised for the price that it actually does what it needs to, feels right and is much better to type on than a membrane keyboard. Obviously not quiet.

For that price, I might get one myself.
