Hi there

Can anyone help me i wanna play games online but i wanna know how u guys find it on iburst and does anyone use this igaming thing at all and is it worth it at the end ?

Well done DegegeN.

OT: Nonono, Iburst used to work for gaming but now I constantly have lag and disconnect form games. Maybe that just a problem that I'm experiencing though :/

Don't even bother with Iburst if your into gaming. They used to be great for local gaming but the lag is really annoying these days. Because of the lag and cap restrictions, etc I'm leaving Iburst this month (WHOO). Don't want to look back to it again...

dam thats not good to hear
cause i had huge issues in the past with hellkom
waited a year for my line install when it was finally installed i had so much k*k i had it 6 months 2 months of that time it worked. So at the end i was so furious i went and cut the line off from my house to there pole. So im never going back there. Any other suggestion then maybe ? O ja and we did a speed test im doing about 1 meg per second at my house is it still a no go then ?

If its possible to get a modem and test everyday for a week and different times then do that. Try testing with an online game at about 16:00, 20:00 and 22:00 to see how iburst performs in game. Also your signal strength should be very constant and your frame error rate should ideally stay at 0% Try testing with an online game at about 16:00, 20:00 and 22:00 to see how iburst performs in game. If your happy with the performance and the signal strength is good then you can consider getting iburst. I wont tell you to get iburst cause then when you're unhappy(and you will be on numerous occasions) you cant blame me :p Also steer clear of a contract, month to month or pre paid is the way to go ;)

Have a chat with the Gaming experts over at http://www.igameonline.co.za/ If you are serious about gaming get a wifi router and a UTD (desktop). If you can obtain a WRT54GL and load it with tomato you can configure the QoS to improve you gaming experience.

There are a large number of gamers active on iBurst. The feedback I had from my gaming friends is that the lastest round of "uncapped" ADSL offerings has negatively affected all ADSL service providers due to contention at the DSLAM. So right now there is neglible difference in the experience.
