Received my 1994 Camry back from the panel beater and now my ignition switch doesn’t work. I can’t get the car switched on to drive it. Who do I get to do the repair? Auto-electrician or mechanic?

The guys at the panel beater must have forced the lock, and now he says it is due to wear and tear, and is not his fault.

I told you to take good care of that spotless red '94 3L Camry when I sold it to you.

What was it doing at the panelbeaters? ;)

"Brandewyn kreukel". Bumped into the back of another car at the stop sign. As per usual, I check to my right, and there where no cars, so I started to drive off, but I forgot that there is a lady driver in front of me that is first doing her makeup instead of driving. Ja, I know it is my fault. :o

The panelbeater just collected my car, and will strip the dashboard and take the lock to a locksmith.

So I am off to work with my XT 550, hope the rain stays away.

tell them that it was working when you gave it to them , they used it and now its stuffed , they must pay ..

Ignition switch you can replace yourself. Replaced mine in my Audi. Its not the tumblers, only the electronic component. But it can break down due to wear and tear. The only thing is it is a bit pricy for a new one. R350, maybe you're OK with it.
