The current poll as of today, the 14th of November at 1am states:

How would you describe the pricing of Telkom’s 30 GB unshaped ISP accounts (at R2860 ex VAT)?

Cheap

Reasonable

Average

Expensive

Exorbitant

Madness

Right now 88 people have voted in total, of which 2% (which by my calculations = 2 people) have chosen the 'Cheap' option.

Who in their right minds would consider R2860 EXCL VAT for 30gigs of data CHEAP?!?
I do sincerly hope it was a miss-click. If not, those two people SERIOUSLY need their screws fastened!!

you forget ****ing insane on your list of options and I choose that one

Those ppl that voted cheap either just did it cos they thought it would be funny, or they're simply doff, or they work for teklom and are paid to try and make teklom look good in such polls and forums.

Either way, they must have been complete IDIOTS IMHO.

A poll just isnt a poll if 100% of the voters vote on one option

I could still sort of understand if they voted Exorbitant or maybe even Expensive, but to say its cheap is just plain stupidity!!!

Agreed

Could be that they some rich guys kid who does not feel the financial pinch that would impact us ordinary folk. I woudnt take it to seriously though.

UNCAPPED 30 GIGS ACCOUNT
how does that work?

i mean when you 30 gigs does the UNCAPPED account cap you?

I almost voted cheap just cause i knew all of you guys would flip like this, then I voted madness like the rest, just in case Telkom come and look at the vote and end up quoting it as "alot of people think this is a cheap price for 30gb", just cause like 5% voted cheap.
Dont worry those people are joking, noone's serious about that. No where does it say 30 gigs uncapped by the way.

It is quite cheap at normal (smallish) data levels. It gets a lot more expensive as you go up in gigs

South Africa standards of course :p

Then again, 10gig for example for R350 (qiock look at openweb.co.za advert) wouldnt be bad AT ALL if it wernt for the line rental.

Imagine paying R350 only for 10gig and having a 1mbit line with it :)

@Razer0 Your imagination is my nightmare. After paying R680 per month for the line rip-off I can only afford R350 for actual usage.
