The new slideshows look nice but I think I'll give '11 a miss, at least until it comes on my next machine. The Macbook Pros are getting a bit long in the tooth so I'm thinking new models early in the new year.

On a pc or iPod touch it goes on the email address which I assume you have to setup on your device or facetime app. On the iPhone I have seen that Apple magically has access to your device. You can check it with stuff like Mobile me where you remote lock the device, send popup notifications and so on, so I guess they use that same tech to get into contact with your device (over GSM network) and start the call which switches over to wifi. I think I remember something from the previous keynote that the call gets started of on GSM and then switches to wifi, and that is why it works only when you are on wifi network.

Beginners luck. I ordered a copy of iLife '09 from the States two days before the iLife "11 announcement @R327. It was delivered 6 days later. This weekend I ordered a copy of iLife "11 @R326 and should be here in about a week plus. So when it arrives I will sell the unopened copy of iLife '09.
Looking at Aperture 3 now as well. With the R/$ exchange rates as they are, imports are a bargain.

Did you order from Apple website - to be delivered in RSA ? I need to order a MBP - and the cost in SA is pathetic. But I need my MBP pre-configured. I tried the Apple Website - but they require a USA address. If you could guide me I would really appreciate it.
Thanks

I ordered this software off eBay. If you don't have anyone comming fro the USA, I would suggest you look at myus.com. But when you add the cost of transport and VAT into the sum, the deal is not so attractive anymore. After my experience with the MBP I don't know if I would spend that kind of cash without a SA warranty, not matter how bad Core's service is.Did you order from Apple website - to be delivered in RSA ?
