I'll just leave this here

Rest of the day. It's clearly a congestion problem for me. Posting in case other people question their sanity. Same connection. Same signal. I can happily get over 10mbps downstream at 5am.Screenshot_20200701_224249_org.speedspot.speedanalytics.jpg

These are my signal stats. Stable af. SINR goes up as high as 8, never below 2. Varies with wind, weather, farts, etc. This is the best I got with the aid of the optimiser.Screenshot_20200701_224721_pl.thecoder.huactrlpro.jpg

Yeah - i see the exact same thing on my side. Certain times of the day ( like now when everyone is still waking up ) i can get 10Mbps and more, but then by about mid morning, later afternoon, and evening it dies. Then at 11PM and onward when everyone goes to sleep, it picks up speed again. It's just congestion - their towers do not have capacity. That's all it is - i don't care what excuses they have - and my stats are even better than yours ( i'm 250m from the tower ) :

I have never seen Rain admit to congestion on their towers or attribute the many complainsts about low speeds during the day to congestion......

I am in a similar position where during the day I battle to get 1mbps on a consistent basis but from 11pm to 5am I see speeds up to 6mbps....

Their agent has finally admitted that it is indeed congestion, exacerbated by the load of covid time traffic. They have offered me a cancellation with refund for lockdown period. I won't cancel. It is what it is and i'll have to live with it and hope for the best, I don't have better options here. At least i can now stop adjusting my antenna and messing with my signal.

Thanks @rain_mobile

So what else can we do when we have congestion problem @rain_mobile
Connect to another tower and hope its less congested. Wait for rain and hope either they improve infrastructure, or enough people cancel, go back to work, etc to free up some bandwidth. Or cancel and use another ISP.

Thanks bro I’ll keep this in mind no problem

what android app to show signal stats is that?
have the LTE view for windows, but for android, havent found one.
HuaCTRL. Its on Google play. There is a free one, i bought the pro version. Works on most Huawei routers.

strange nobody on f-droid or XDA apps has come up with something similar.
I thought the same. Searched but nothing of interest. There is also an app called "Stats for Huawei" or similar, but this is better. Huawei's own HiLink app is crap.

cant even get the new app to work for me, Huawei ai life, wont even pick up my B618 on android 10.

thought to ask,

what should good/reliable/fast signal values look like? RSSI. RSRQ ect?

was reading this, but maybe others can give me a good idea?
