Beginning of last year I switched to Afrihost as mobile ISP. I had a contract with Autopage, MTN as network.
My device (iPhone4) was set to afrihost in settings. Two weeks later I received a shocking bill from autopage for useage of date to the tune of thousands of rands. Long story short, this persisted despite numerous emails and mesages on Myaccount, I was eventually charged for near R10 000 of useage allegedly provided by Autopage.
Till this day it is unresolved.
The argument Autopage use is that the simcard belongs to them, this apparantly authorises them to charge me for all dta provided by Afrihost.
Surely this is thievery?
The question that remains unanswered: From 1 April last year their billing of data by Afrihost stopped, as it still remains. Why? What changed? If the principle is ownership, what caused them to relinquish such ownership from april 1.
Afrihost stated that Autopage was known for tracking and charging data provided by Afrihost.
Money was stolen from me, how on earth does one get it back?
