Got lvl 40 Monk in Nightmare.
Got lvl 30 DH in Act 3 Normal.
Got lvl 17 Barbarian in Act 2.
Got lvl 18 Witch Doctor in Act 2.
Got lvl 8 Wizard.

I'm getting bored with the game, it's repetitive - I don't understand how people can even bother with Inferno.

If the endgame is the same as the start of the game - wtf is the point of getting to the end point?

You are lucky it took so long. The repetitive nature of the game got me by Monk 22. Not played since.

Definitely not going to have the longevity of Diablo 2.. the game is too short? Remember Diablo 2 playthrough would have taken you days and in Diablo 3 if you really want to you can do it in a day! I'm level 50 barb and lost my lust for the game.. :(

Same here - Killed Diablo with Barbarian, ejected my disk , put it back in the cover and threw it in the back of the cupboard.
Waited years for the third instalment and what a let down.

Very repetitive, even on the first play-through, all I could think of was "when would I need to stop spamming spells on these mobs". No real skill required, even on nightmare. Only thing that keeps me playing every now and then is the co-op. Thankfully I didn't hype the game up for myself.

level 60 DH
level 60 Monk
level 36 barb

stuck at act 2 inferno but hopefully the new patch will fix that, gonna level my barb untill the patch then finish inferno and start looking for some wicked gear

And what did you expect? seriously? lol?

There is no variety to it, you run into a room, group up some monsters, spam aoe. This doesn't change much as the difficulty goes up, even the boss fights are a walk in the park. There are plenty of other RPG games that offer variety in their gameplay.

I didn't buy D3 expecting anything, and I feel that the game gives you its moneys worth. I just can't see the fun in replaying it, even with other classes, just a linear path with different spells.

Got it...
Another hugely anticipated release that turned out to be a let down.

Waiting for C&C Generals 2... Hope they don't let us C&C fans down like Diablo and Starcraft did.

Starcraft 2 a let down?

Impossible unless you only played campaign or aren't good at multiplayer/1v1.

Perhaps tune into MLG Anaheim tonight at 18h00 and tell me if you still think it's a let down.

Ye. Nothing like the first one IMO. Could also because I am just getting older and tastes changing.
C&C franchise will never get boring though. I still enjoy jamming Zero Hour.

Ye same, but I am not too bothered by it (Besides all the money I wasted on it), because Torchlight 2 is just down the road and then after I am done with that, Guild Wars 2 will be out. Both games I have tried out and both of them I know wont disappoint!

Watched for a bit. Annoyed the wife cause she is sitting here watching Carte Blanche. Lol...
Not enough to grab me dude. I think it is the whole syfy style too. I way prefer normal military type games (like C&C).
Speaking of military, got to go warm up for a clan match at 9. Playing the best MW3 clan in SA - standard Sun game. Off to find the lube...

Starcraft 2 is far more competitive and skill based. Suggest tuning into the finals soon so you can understand more about strategy games. You can't appreciate Starcraft 2 at face value... :) Enjoy your mass killing emulator. :p

(P.S. Now is just a boring demo of Heart of the Swarm...)

I understand strategy dude. Big time C&C fan here :)
Ye, love the mass killing (emulator). Run and gun. Nice and fast.

Apples and oranges hey. SC is a balanced, in depth multiplayer/1v1 competitive game requiring a lot more focus than most games, and 95% of fanatics do not play it for the campaign/story/sci-fi aspect etc. It is a global phenomenon with a sponsored professional industry worth billions, much like COD and others, which is testament to its epicness. It has influenced culture to a large extent as well.

Just saying one can't say the same for C&C, it's tiddly-winks in comparison, like comparing COD to to Wolfenstein or Doom or something, and then asserting you know FPS games based on Wolfenstein or Doom experience. But I appreciate that you are a high level FPS player, I was once and it also takes loads of skill to be good and remain good.

SC2 is leagues ahead of the other strategy franchises... theres a reason there have been hardly any RTS games released since SC2.

On topic... over diablo3, got to level 42 witch doctor and now none of my mates play anymore, add to that BF3 close quarters DLC releasing tomorrow and I doubt I'll be playing it again.
