Im considering on buying a Razer mouse

As the title says, but i prefer a wired mouse compared to a wireless mouse.

Do any of you have this mouse? Is it good or rubbish?

Also is infrared worse for gaming compared to a optical/laser (no light)?


Any help would be appreciated.
 
I've got the Razer Mamba 4G mouse and am absolutely loving it! It's both wired and wireless, with a dock to charge it when you aren't using it. Buttons for sensitivity and extra buttons on the side make it a pleasure to use, and the software lets you tweak almost everything with the mouse, even the LED colors. I would highly recommend the mouse, even though it is quite pricey.

How can it be wired and wireless?
 
I'd recommend the RAT 5 gaming mouse. It's around the same price, with a trolleyload full of features including weights, sensitivity rocker and precision button, not to mention the customisable sizing to fit your hand.

I also have the Razer Mamba (1st gen version) and I'm very happy with it. But, there are decent gaming models from Razer and other manufacturers for a lot less money. Look for models that have software drivers that can increase the USB polling rate and I'm personally fond of laser based tracking.

The Mamba is wired or wireless because the usb cable that plugs into the dock can be plugged directly into the mouse - wired or wireless operation.

Whichever mouse you choose, spend some money on a good gaming mouse pad for the mouse. It makes a difference. I use the Razer Destructor.
 
I have a 4G mamba and an original optical death adder, I prefer the death adder because it just feels more accurate. I hated the rat7 that I had because it used to randomly stop picking up movement on the Y axis. I will use that death adder until the day it stops working, its the best mouse I have ever had - and I have had a whole bunch of them.
 
Got the R.A.T 9, no problems at all, battery lasts me about 4 days, 1 days constant gaming. just don't use it on dark to black mouse pads, jitters now and then if you do.
 
As others have said, the DeathAdder is a great choice. The Orochi is also nice and feels solid, but that cable's way too short for desktop use and I don't recall the batteries being rechargeable either, although they last for ages. Also, look at getting a good mousepad too, it makes a huge difference even for the cheapies.

Personally, though, I'd go for a Steelseries Sensei, either the RAW or the original version with the adjustable colours.
 
I have a Razer Naga Molten. It's an extremely comfortable mouse, despite what pictures may tell you. The 12 thumb buttons take a bit of getting used to, but once you've got the hang of it, you won't be able to use another mouse again, whether it be for MMOs or other genres.

So you are looking to buy a Razer mouse... I have a Razer Naga, Molten Edition one of the most comfortable mouses I have ever owned and + it has 17 MMORPGs buttons which you can do with what ever you want, and I mean anything you can think of you can do with one click of a button. Even one of my friends wanted to trade me his Cyborg M.M.O 7 gaming mouse for my Razer Naga and his Cyborg cost him trice as much as my Naga. Basically all Razer products are good it's just you have to choose your favorite between the lot. My entire desktop is Razer products even my speakers.
