After 2 enjoyable years of Xbox 360 gaming, I've gone back to PC gaming.
Why you ask? Because the console itself is too unstable. I've had 2 RROD on me, each lasting only around 12 months each. I got fed up, sold them all and have returned to my PC gaming roots where I don't have to fear a console dying on me.
I had a great time with my console. Loved Gears 1 and 2, Halo 3, DoA4, Crackdown and my many of my other games, but I'm afraid, the PC is just where it's at. Multiplayer doesn't cost a thing and games are way cheaper (although hardware isn't - so it kinda balances that out). Call me a nerd, I like looking at the structure of a game, the files that make up the game and I love tweaking all of the complex options. For me, it has been and will always be light years ahead of any console. PC graphics own any PS3 or Xbox 360 anyday - that's a fact.
With the cash from all my games and the console itself, I brought a 23" LCD screen and a Geforce GTX260. I already had a 3Ghz Intel Core2Duo with 2 gigs of RAM. Now I have games like Starcraft II, Dragon Age Origins and Diablo III to look forward to. Running them at 1920x 1080 is gonna be sweet.
