I'm getting messed around by telkom

It all depends... some get a **** line which usually doesn't do all that good and some like myself which get more than what we pay for... I got a 384 line but get about 400-460Kbps... Sorr for u... Maybe ur very far from ur exchange.

Hehe I bet Telkoms next grand scheme of cashing in, charging national call rates to their 0800 numbers.

Telkom have a policy for techies. They get cash subtracted from their salaries for each minute they answer before the customer has been holding for 20 minutes ;)

Seriously though, every time I've phoned telkom I've had to hold for at least 20 minutes.

Dude the min wait is like 15min, so right, the quickest i got was 35sec, and i was pretty stoked, but the next 20times, it took 15min at least.
 
Here's what you need to do...
Don't choose the "Support" option... ALWAYS choose the "SALES" option. They generally overstaff the sales desks, and understaff the support desks, so choose sales, get to an agent (usually within 30seconds) and then get them to transfer "Oh, so sorry. I chose the wrong option. Could you please transfer me." :) They will usually trf you directly to another agent. Even if he/she is busy, you get to be the first in their queue....
