i'm glad that i used 7.7GB(combined) last month and 6.8GB before last month...

telkom is slowing this country's economy development.

i wanna go back to South Korea where nobody complaints about ADSL solution.

and ADSL light package only costs about R150 p.m

in my country VDSL has introduced few years ago and it's provided at an AFFOADABLE PRICE.

but most importantly...

we have at least 3 company that offers the broadband internet access.

We need at least that in South Africa. But you will notice that in africa everything goes slower than in the rest of the world.

it's not correct that a service provider enforce customers by telling us how to use the line..
btw one of the major ISP in South Korea called Korea Telecom owns 3 GB international bandwidths,
and they have plans to increase it to 4.7 GB until the end of this year.
i think i heard that SA's whole bandwidth does not exceed 1 GB..
is this true??

and the price changes if you make contract with 3 year, 2 year, 1 year, no contract.

simply divide the korean amount by 150 to get Rand value.

Every four months I go to Waterloo for four months. I study co-op at Waterloo, meaning I study four months at a time and work four months at a time, and it alternates. So every four months I'm in need to get cable or DSL with my buddies.

Now here at home my cable company is Cogeco, but in Waterloo it is Rogers and they are unfortunately half the speed of Cogeco for the same price (1.5 Mbps vs 3.0 Mbps). I just called them up and ordered cable. Free install and free equipment (they lease it out but I don't pay for 3 months) and it will be done on the first of next month. For the first three months I pay half price,which is about R110 per month, and the fourth month I have to pay full price which is R220. All the equipment remains theirs, but I think I'm getting an OK deal. Gotta love these FREE this, FREE that...
