Does anyone have any advice.
I would appreciate it if someone could get a spreadsheet of what I need to do and buy for the baby.
I know its early days but I'm just so excited!:o

a spreadsheet sometimes known as linen or a bedspread. That should help for now. Get some sleep now before baby comes.

Congratulations!. Rather ask on some Parent Forums that's around, this is the wrong place to ask for advice on what to buy. You'll get a LAN Card and a Beer for your kid in this place :p ;) :D

Thanks all.
I actually just wanted to share the news as it was a frustrating journey.
Refer to my other posts.

You're not the dad.

APRIL FOOLS!

Congrats abubolt!
I've got a son on the way too. Total new experience for me as well!

Off the top of my head, you'll need:
*Cot - Game has good ones that convert into a playpen for when the critter gets bigger
*Pram
*Baby seat for car
*Recieving blanket
*Special bag that you need to get when you take baby home from the hospital

Thats what i have thus far, there's obviously more that you need - Ask google or an aunt.

also - check around for good education policies!

Congrats again

Congratulations! Nice one! Im much to young to be a daddy but what my dad did basically was let it come natural :)

I just had a daughter 4.5 months ago. Greatest thing that has ever happened to me. Ever.

Congrats! Too early to stress yet, just enjoy the feeling!

Oh and if you like gaming, this is your time! Your partner will be sleeping for most of the time for the next three months. :)

mine is four months old now....

Start saving now...... my wife started buying a lot of new born nappies before he was born. helped a lot.. also dont buy to much clothes as they outgrow it so quickly

Start adding Pampers nappies to your shopping list - helps if you can stock up before he/she/they arrives.

But AFAIK nappies come in different sizes, so how do you know beforehand what size to buy? It's OK to buy a pack or 3, but what if you buy in bulk and the size is wrong.

I got a two month old son.
What helped us was pre buying a few nappies (We actually over bought, new born nappies, and they say you can return them for bigger sizes).

Also for clothing, dont bother with new born clothing, they grow out of those in no time.

Also have gripe water, telement drops and glycerine (you can get that at Dischem).

And then lastly ... on those days that your wife / partner is moody, irritable etc ... its your fault. :)

Jokes aside, there is not much too it. Just becareful of old wife tales and methods. Cause there is some crazy ideas / solutions out there.
