Look , i got this problem , when i switched my laptop on a message popped up saying that a file has been corrupted run the chkdsk utility, now my laptop refuses to connect to my desktop wireless because some hardware device stopped working . my computer says new hardware found Scsi/raid host controller everytime i try to install the drivers it says error has occured someone please help me remedy this problem or i swear im gonna break my laptop

have you run the chkdsk utility?
right click on c:, properties, tools, check now, tick the first box, ok, accept whatever message it gives, then reset... let the chkdsk run.

Need a bit more info to help you out, what laptop why did this start - what wifi card - have you tried reinstalling the wifi cards drivers - what error does it give when you attempt to connect to your wireless ap?

im using an acer travelmate40001lci it started because of switching the laptop off incorrectly im using intel pro wireless 2200bg i tried everything the computer finds the hardware but cannot identify the device
