With WoW... :D

Helloo! Just thought I'd share my experience with you folks! So for the first time in a year, I managed to do some PvE on my Lock who's 70.

You see once I had dinged 70, I didn't know what to do or which Quests to take. Everything seemed to be so much of a chore, daunting & utterly confusing. Ppl were muttering something about Scryers & a a whole lot of mumbo jumbo, my ignorant ass didn't quite understand...

Well that's all changed now. :)

I managed to go to Gruul last night with the lovely ppl of Pap En Vleis & later on to Maggy. It was the first time I'd ever done any PvE let alone an Instance/Raid after dinging 70 & I can tell you, I had a blast. It was some of the best fun I've ever had in game.

There's something to be said about playing a game you love with good ppl. I think this is what makes WoW so perfect. In some ways its simple...

EDIT:

Is it just me or have the Twighlights Hammer forums dissapeared from the Official Wow-Europe page?

Has anyone else on Axxess Unshaped noticed that their Cap seems to be expiring extremely quickly lately for just games like COD4 or WoW?

Indeed raiding is a whole different thing. Once you get the raiding thing down it's hard to turn back to normal grindage.

You start raiding, then you start number crunching and maximizing, soon you are a whirling dervish of knowledge and doom

Number crunching, min maxing, calculating net gains from each piece of gear...

NEVAR!

Just posting for this quote.

Yes, and its starting to annoy me

I've hit lvl 25 last night :p Not playing much, so took me a whole 4 months to get there.

when you play on a private server, do you pay a monthly fee?

No,but you don't get the same support, content updates or anything else that actually makes a "Massively multiplayer online game"...umm massively multiplayer online :P Buggy crap thats slow to update, unsupported and out of date. Like paying at a restaurant with Clamshells and salt

Playing on the buggy emu's you get :
No monthly fee
Good latency - Assuming there is sufficient BW available at the hosting server.

However, you get buggy quests.... you have a damn small population on the server and it defeats the whole point of the game.
You loose the whole sense / feeling of accomplishment when working @ leveling up / gearing your character up.
You are not guaranteed your character gets backed up, and you can loose your character anytime.
Raiding is pretty much a joke on EMU's...

You spoil the game for yourself in a very bad way. Playing on a EMU is nothing like playing on the official servers.

PvE is the way to go :D

idd, the only reason i waste time on an MMO is too kill badass bosses, devise tactical plans for scripted events and slave over spreadsheets to achieve .1% dps increase :>
