I'm looking for a Canon 40D

Were just debating wether the OP should rather wait for the 60D, or buy a 40D or a 5D second hand. And supplying justifying arguments, which all comes down to personal choice. As for staying OT, ODP classifieds is a good place to find 2nd hand deals on the 40D.
 
No-one has asked the OP what he wants to take pics of.
My take: Wildlife xxD; people (studio) 5D. For general use, I'd prefer an xxD as I don't think the 5D is built as robustly as the xxD cameras. I certainly wouldn't take a 5D into the bush on a backpacking trip.

Haha, sorry about the derail.

Yeah, OP didn't really ask which camera, just where to get one. We just recommended other options as well. If you want to buy a 40D new, try contacting the ODP shop.
 
As in, he didn't ask for camera recommendations, i.e. "which camera?", he asked where to get the one he had chosen, the 40D...
 
Pinnacle Micro still has the 40D listed on their July pricelist. whether they actually have stock, I don't know. Why don't you contact CameraTek as they will know to whom they shipped their last batch of 40Ds.
