Hello,

I just bought 4mbs uncapped from mweb.
Reset the router (Mega 100WR) to factory settings...
Logged in...
ran the Wizard and entered the Mweb Details...
It said done etc..
saved, rebooted...

The interent Is working fine, but whenever i got to Speedtest.net is says my ISP is Telkom SA???
there is absolutely no mention of any of those login details anywhere on my router.

Is it running the Mweb uncapped????

i am running on a ******@mweb.co.za....
so its correct that i am running the uncapped?

from a forum statement on myBB MWEB is waiting for (or is busy with) a network upgrade from Telkom to their IPC
so they have been pushing some of their users onto SAIX's network at their expense to improve performance

So I don't think you have to worry

also double check your account on the Router again. My Router needs a few reboots to accept new settings, for some reason it never applied changed ones until rebooted abot 3 times.
Replaced it in anycase.

A bit OT, but routers that come bundled with wizards and bloatware always irk me

I think you all should realise/know by now that SPEEDTEST.NET specifies the details of the IP connecting to it based on the owner of the public IP Block - The IP block may be owned by SAIX however assigned to MWEB.

the reason for that is Mweb is making use of SAIX IPC while they upgrading there network. so at the moment you are infact running off SAIX/Telkom.

use @dslmweb.co.za

If you're using @mweb.co.za, then you would get a Telkom/SAIX IP address and then you're limited to 30GB!

??? are you serious?

so my uncapped is now limited to 30GB because their network cant handle it and i was put on telkom?

Its not supposed to be slower.

Change it (the username/realm) in your router.

Please use Google for these small things...
