I'm so cool ....

Internet Explorer on Xbox 360? It could happen, there might be proof, it could be right in front of us. During the new welcome video that Microsoft have on the Xbox website, a quarter of the way when they scroll through the new sections, there is a section called browse. It cuts to the next shot before we have a chance to see what loads in the box below so we never get to see if it’s anything special.

Wild speculation, maybe. It’s not conclusive proof, but there is a chance. Personally I’m not so sure I want a browser on my 360, I really don’t want to sit on my couch and browse the net and even then its a lot easier with a mouse and keyboard. Also, with the closed nature of Xbox Live I highly doubt it will happen as this could open Xbox 360 users up to viruses and all other nasty things associated with the Internet. In the end I guess we will just have to wait and see, what do you think?

[Thanks to doobiwan for the tip.]

Guess he's boasting about the bolded part :p

/touches doobiwan. now why am I touching you?
Browsing through an xbox is the dumbest thing i've ever heard. I'm sure it's to browse for games/add-ons/etc through some interface - not IE.

I hardly ever use the browser on my PS3, but it is nice if you're just too damn lazy to switch to PC and browse there. So it's a nice to have, but hardly essential.

Nope. That's already built in. A normal internet browser for web-browsing purposes would be awesome.

THEN PC'S WOULD BE OBSOLETE!!!!1!!11ONE1ELEVEN!11!

I dont want it!
I have a PC, dont want to browse the net on my 360...Live is cool enough thanks.

the only reason to browse would be to get more details on the game, other thatn that no use for it.

There is enough BS on the intarwebz without people going out of their way to create more.
