I'm surprised! Good for Cybersmart\Telkom support

I logged a fault with cybersmart call centre this morning, slow speed on my adsl line 10k download speed max on 384k adsl :eek:
Telkom just phoned me about 10 min ago at 22:20 on a sat night:eek:
asking me to test and give feedback on speed ect. ( resetted my connection )
( did not fix it btw ) a tech will phone me mon morn and do tests at the exchange and come to my place for further testing )

omg. what a surprise :eek:

telkom are really stepping up support:eek:
good for them:D

Well maybe, lets see if a tech will phone on monday before giving them to much credit :P

Congratulations!!!! Well Done!!!! You have just made the 0.1% of total service offered by Telkom. You have achieved what very few users every experience!!! Could I advise playing the lottery when chance provides itself.
 
Hehe, let's just hope that for your sake the techie actually finds a problem and fixes it, unlike the majority of cases :(
 
Ja, my download speeds with them of late have been below 10k with the same line as you.
 
Yes my cybersmart download speed is max 12kbs. Guys you have to learn that cybersmart is taking in more users than their systems can handle. Thats why it so slow! My cybersmart account is very slow but when I use my telkom account it works just fine!

its because theyve got everyone going through their own transparent proxy... which is fair cos it lets them charge those low rates... but its slow as hell..

Well then its probably just the one price account subscribers, because my normal 3GB cybersmart account is flying, max dl speeds. :)
 
normal 3GB account here... but IP resolves to their stupid oneprice ad :/
 
my 384k was also flying 40kbps download speeds:) untill last thursday:mad:
i'm sure its a telkom fault:)
 
a techi was at my house on a sunday nogal:eek:
and tested the line speed with his laptop and adsl modem
he also got around 5k instead of 40k download speed:mad:
his going to do some more tests at the exchange ect.;)

now that is a difference in support from last year :eek:
i have to say:D

nice to know that telkom is working on there sla's
( pinch me, I must be dreaming :p )
btw. they started off with 70 odd calls sunday morning:eek:
 
Came home after work and whala adsl fixed.:D

telkom really improved on there call response times
