Just bought my first 27" iMac. What an amazing machine!!

Will need windows on the odd occasion for some games and windows apps, what is the best solution? Dual boot (which I have no idea how to do) or run something like Parallels or VM fusion?

Any advice appreciated :)

I'm using VM Fusion and it works well for me and it's for free :)

My bad it's Virtual box - sorry

That is awesome!

Edit: Unless i have the wrong product, according to VMware fusion its $69

Do you possibly have a linky for me?

Thanks, was leaning more towards VM than having to setup dual booting.

Run the Boot Camp wizard and install your Windows to its own partition ... some things just does not want to work with a VM.

I never boot Windows (but I can if I need to) ... Parallels uses that same Windows 7 Ultimate installation as its VM, so you get both solutions without using double the HD space.

Dual-boot will give the best performance. It's very easy to set up (just search for boot camp in spotlight).
Parallels actually has decent 3D performance, but I still prefer VMWare Fusion - however I don't game on it.

Thanks for the feedback. If you say it is that easy to setup then maybe it is not a bad idea just to dualboot.
