Image scanning software

What do you guys use?

The software I got with my HP PSC is pretty crap. It's also a bit of a pain loading up Photoshop everytime I want to scan a document.

Any recommendations for a basic application to scan documents?

I use Photoshop, takes little time to load but at least it works in the end

ms photo editor that comes with office works fine and fast. for editting text in a scanned document using ocr, ms office document imaging works quickly as well

i've been using Photoimpact v4.2 for about 5 yrs...
v11 is available, but i reckon why change a good thing
