imagine : this is a bit dodge

Well well well. According to this ruling, ALL pricing must at least be shown as Inclusive of VAT. And another thing that I noticed is This, on the Imagine website. They are still using the Old banner, or it slipped through somewhere - One that states no inclusive/exclusive of VAT statements on the Uncapped ADSL option.
 
You what I find disgusting though.. Is the fact that everyone uses the excuse of "OOPPPSSS I'm sorry I didn't know but I'll fix it quickly" and everyone falls for it, pats them on the back and says "Well dont do it again"

Telkom has been doing this for years and everyone else is now doing the same. Its not just VAT and things like that though its 100's of things, from pretending to not know its illegal to drive with fog lights on, to skipping stop signs and saying you never saw it.

What happened to the days of IGNORANCE IS NO EXCUSE?
 
Based on the above, the respondent’s advertising appears to be in contravention of Section 64 and 65 of the Value-Added Tax Act 89 of 1991, which requires all advertised prices to include or indicate VAT.

Congrats to all those who say it isn't necessary to state whether a price includes or excludes VAT.
 
It's illegal to drive with fog lights on? Why?

I don't do it (unless it's raining), but why do so many people do it?
 
@rorz0r, Not going to hijack this thread but to put it easy.. its illegal because its the law. :)

Go check out http://www.transport.gov.za/library/regulations/1999/roadregs00.html Its there in plain black and white and has been since 1996.. Everyone just thinks that it makes their cars look cool and that they can see better which is a complete load of bull as its worse for your eyes (as in you ther driver off that car) and just as bad for others on the road, but its long to explain (Has to do with pupil dilation at night due to light intensity)...

BTW as a point of interest using them in the rain is MUCH worse, The glare caused for others and yourself is highest when raining heavy.. There is a reason they are called fog lights. If you think your safer because you are increasing your visability on the roads, Think how wrong you will be when somebody gets blinded and cant see and their car kills you.

EDIT: OH .. its law 163.6 above if you just wanna go straight to it
