I've been a loyal Imaginet customer since mid January.
I hada shaped account since I work for a US company in NY and do remote desktop over vpn and unshaped is the only thing that worked reasonable well.
Well, they "forgot" to bill me for January, so they say and recently I received e-mails that state: ADSL Recovery. In short they claim there was a problem with their billing system and they didn't charge me for all the data I downloaded and according to the user agreement I agreed upon, I am responsible for all data usage. Fair enough, but don't screw up and then try to screw me 6 months down the line.
I had a 2GB unshaped account from mid Jan to mid Jun and then switched to 4GB shaped as I am now using citrix metaframe and it doesn't get shaped to death like my vpn software was.
Here's all the deductions they made:
2006-02-06 SERVICE AGREEMENT NETCASH 1945350 IMAGINET R 273.61-2006-03-08 SERVICE AGREEMENT NETCASH 2057678 IMAGINET R 273.61-
2006-04-07 SERVICE AGREEMENT NETCASH 2182529 IMAGINET R 519.84-
2006-05-12 SERVICE AGREEMENT NETCASH 2349547 IMAGINET R 504.45-
2006-06-07 SERVICE AGREEMENT NETCASH 2490042 IMAGINET R 843.03-
As if this wasn't enought, I just recevied a debit order notice for more than R1,000
If your cash flow is important to you, stay away from Imaginet. They seemed a nice bunch of people, but they're not much better than Thswane municipality that "forgot" to send statements and then double billed me the next month.
